Miss Choi was my Form 2 mathematics teacher. She was an old-style teacher and she taught in the very traditional way. Plus, she was strict in class, and she had "special punishment" for her naughty students - copying school rules was nothing difficult when compared with like copying index tables (after all, Miss Choi was a mathematics teacher!). So she was not a really popular teacher among young students.
However, Miss Choi was really a very nice teacher and she taught every lesson wholeheartedly. She would always be willing to teach you when you did not understand. I was happy to have her as my mathematics teacher even I was taught by her for only one year.
I haven't met Miss Choi for years, and I couldn't recall when I last met her (probably five years ago in Ming Yin's anniversary event). Was very shocked when I knew her death after reading Mrs. Wong's Facebook status in mid-April - indeed it was all of a sudden to her ex-colleagues and students and even to her family. I did not know the cause of her death until tonight in the memorial service for her. I just hope she did not suffer a lot from her diseases and could really rest in peace now. May our Lord bless her family and particularly her mother who suffered from stroke years ago.

永遠懷念 蔡淑儀老師
蔡淑儀女士祖籍廣東順德，生於1946年11月20日。2012年四月因免疫系統失調以致心、肺及腎官能衰竭，在短短一星期內，於聯合醫院安息主懷，終年65歲。
淑儀女士有一兄兩妹。小時家境貧窮，13歲時父親離世。自小讀書勤奮，中學畢業於庇利羅士女子中學。本來可以繼續升讀大學，但是為了減輕家庭經濟負擔，放棄了升讀大學的機會，選擇入讀當時的羅富國師範學院，踏上為人師表之路。畢業後，她受聘於中華基督教會銘賢書院，任教數學科長達三十一年之久。九六年獲教育署署長頒授獎狀，表揚她在教學方面的貢獻。她年青時很喜歡旅遊和運動，曾遊歷數大洲；游泳是她持之以恆的運動，因她想保持健康的體魄和舒暢的精神。
淑儀女士做事一向一絲不苟、富責任感，亦很重視原則。在校任初中數學科主任，她親自編寫筆記，把練習題彙集分類，分發給學生做；加上不厭其煩，巨細無遺地講解，學生的數學基礎得以打穩。對後輩的栽培，尤其是對五個侄孫的成長照顧有加，經常苦口婆心予以勉勵，把整理好的數學題目按侄孫們的學年一份一份的派予他們作補充練習，務求他們都能在長大後回饋社會，做一個有用的人。對家中年長、行動不便的母親更是無微不至，盡顯孝道。雖然近幾個月塌了一節脊骨引起極大的痛楚，但是她仍拖著痛楚的身軀來到母親床前，為的是在母親耳邊唱歌，她也會把已切好的水果遞到母親的嘴裡，好讓母親在不能吃東西的情況下仍能品嚐果汁的鮮味。
淑儀女士近半年的身體起了較大的變化，曾經歷過不明的腳腫。今年二月，經醫生診斷是免疫系統出了問題的「乾燥綜合症」，又因脊骨缺鈣引致其中一節塌裂，以致行動不便，睡不安穩。今年三月尾，因注射了一劑增加骨質密度藥物而出現藥物敏感，最終多個器官衰竭。
感恩的是，當淑儀女士還有生命氣息和意識的時候作了一個決志禱告，後來更在傳道人、教會執事和親人面前接受灑水禮，成為一個基督徒，最後在親人的詩歌聲中安然離開。
近幾年，妹妹桂儀常常在家中向中風後信主的母親講傳福音，相信道種已經播了在她的心裡。母親心裡的平安亦吸引了她認識福音。在等候救護車送往急症室時，妹妹對她說：「記住信耶穌，我們是一家人，要在天家那邊相聚，永遠在一起。」在她生命危急時，她跟妹妹祈禱求主耶穌的寶血洗淨她所有的罪，並打開心門接耶穌入去做救主。
30年前她告訴妹妹，她在坐機動過山車時很害怕，於是第一次自己向主耶穌祈禱。今年，她遇上兇險的生命過山車，她知所選擇，把握機會，接受主耶穌做救主，搭上主耶穌的生命列車。
我們對淑儀女士的離世萬分不捨。但是當知道她在地上的辛勞已一一釋放，而她的靈魂已被接往樂園，安居主懷，我們亦感到很安慰。因為知道有一天，我們將會在天家與她相聚。
